About Andrew and Cathy Whyte Photographers.

Andrew is an NZIPP Qualified Wedding Photographer. Capturing wedding day memories in Taupo, Tauranga, Whakatane, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty New Zealand.

NZIPP stands for New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography and is part of a world body. Qualification status is achieved by way of examination. Any work we do in relation to our business must stand by a strict code of ethics and standards.

We are also very active in the national NZIPP professional photography awards (Iris awards) and recently won silver with distinction as well as a bronze in the 2009 competitions. We believe that participating in these awards is essential in the development of our craft and it is also lots of fun participating.

Andrew is the main photographer assisted by Cathy who also has a keen eye for detail. Cathy often captures wedding day memories with the second camera from different angles.

Cathy and Andrew use two modern Nikon DSLR digital cameras with top of the range professional f2.8 lenses. It is with this reliable combination, as well as skill, they are able to capture many wonderful moments. We advise you never to employ a photographer who shows up to a wedding with only one amateur grade camera.

Whyte Weddings choose to use Queensberry Albums of Distinction, made in New Zealand. Starting with our smaller best shots albums and up to our larger feature albums. They are wonderful lasting family heirlooms and a testimony to our photography and all the hard work you have put into your big day. You will be fully involved in the design process with lots of choices. Beautiful Queensberry leather photo front covers are standard.

With all our packages you will receive the selected high-resolution files, many bonus photos and a highly valued online gallery showcasing your wedding to all your friends and family, wherever they are in the world. If we want to use your photos in our awards, marketing and advertising then we will ask you during the planning process.

Andrew is also an acclaimed Painting Artist and was a radio announcer for many years before turning to photography.
