Neveah Restaurant at the Welcome Bay Café and Bar- No website link but well worth researching in the real world as a midrange affordable reception venue. A spacious venue and able to cater for up to 120 guests. The Lockwood design is warm and cozy despite the size of the venue and there is lots of room for the disco or band. The locals say the food is great. You don't pay for the venue, just the food. Review by Andrew Whyte Photographer.

Okataina Lodge - Situated approximately 31 kilometres from Rotorua, the lake is reached by traveling from Rotorua along the main Whakatane highway. An all in one venue with accommodation for all budgets and reception venue for 100 people. A serene absolute lake side ceremony location with wet weather backup. Charlemagne Lodge - Te Puna, Tauranga. A beautiful Victorian house considered to be a Bay of Plenty landmark building. An all in one wedding venue from brides house to reception facilities catering to up to 120 guests. Garden ceremony venue with wet weather back up. Surf n Sand Ohope Conference Park - Set on the beautiful Ohope Peninsular and is an ideal all in one venue for beach weddings with wet weather back up. Catering for receptions up to 100 guests. Camp sites up to wonderful apartments are available with amazing beach views makes it a special honeymoon and brides house venue too. The Lazy Tramper Lodge - Set among lush native bush high on the Kaimai Ranges near Tauranga. Great rural and nature photographic setting. Garden ceremony venues with wet weather back up. Ideal away from it venue for small weddings to 50 guests. Affordable accommodating in dorm rooms and very attentive and flexible hosts. Review by Andrew Whyte of Whyte Weddings.

Ridge Country Retreat - All in one venue set high above Welcome Bay Tauranga. Garden ceremony venue with spacious wet weather back up inside. Wonderful brides house photographic venue and lush native bush and ferns with easy access for formal photos. Friendly hosts catering for up to larger wedding receptions. Luxury accommodation. The Ohope Golf Club - A ceremony and reception venue catering to up to 100 guests is rare in Ohope and Whakatane. Outdoor ceremony venue with wet weather backup. Ideal formal photographic venues nearby at Port Ohope Wharf and Ohope Beach. Large popular camp grounds nearby offering most levels of accommodation. Review by Andrew Whyte.

Princes Gate Hotel Rotorua. This 100+ year old beauty is in itself an attraction in Rotorua. A wonderful photographic venue for those extra special brides house photos, wonderful staircase and balcony. Offers classical lines in photos and just over the road from the popular Government Gardens and bath house. A medium to large reception venue. I have not seen a ceremony at the Princes Gate, but it may be possible. Luxury but affordable accommodation too. Review by Andrew Whyte photographer.

Skyline Skyrides Rotorua. A reception venue with a slash of fun. Gondolas take guests up to large reception venue. Another large reception venue in the Redwood area can be accessed by luge if you dare. Catering for large weddings with wonderful views of Rotorua. Can be a ceremony venue too I suppose, but I have not seen this. Review by Andrew Whyte photographer.

The Redwoods Forest Rotorua. Set among giant Californian Redwood trees near Rotorua. A large Sail area provides for a weather safe ceremony venue in a special nature setting. Excellent formal photographic opportunities at memorial grove and a few more special places among the trees. Excellent light for family photos under the sails. Can get a bit dark so a professional photographer with larger lens systems is advisable, such as Whyte Weddings. The temperature is often cooler among the trees so a cardy can be useful and you won't cook in the summer heat under the trees. Not to be confused with the other Redwood Sails venue at Skyline Skyrides, which is on the other side of the lake. Review by Andrew Whyte Photographer.

The Hilton Taupo - Lake Taupo - An all in one wedding venue offering wonderful architectural photographic opportunities with views to Taupo. Nice shady outdoor ceremony venue in the garden. Luxury accommodation and a nice stairwell and mirrors for brides house photos. Large reception venue. A quick drive down to the lake at Mapau Place for more formal photos is the icing on the cake for a superb wedding album. Review by Andrew Whyte photographer.

Huka Falls Resort Taupo - An all in one wedding venue. Excellent architectural settings among old villas and bungalows. Also a vineyard and a wonderful old church. Outdoor ceremony venues are also catered for as well as large reception and catering services. Wonderful brides house photographic opportunities for brides staying in the unique houses.
